Add Page Numbers
Add page numbers anywhere on your PDF — top, bottom, corner — with full control over the starting number and font size. Everything runs locally; the document never leaves your device.
How to add page numbers
- Upload your PDF.
- Pick a position — bottom-center is most common, but any corner works.
- Set the starting number (use 0 to skip a cover page).
- Pick a font size, then click Add Page Numbers.
- Download the numbered PDF — the original is untouched.
Why use QuickPDFKit for page numbering?
- Customizable — choose corner, font size, and starting number.
- Non-destructive — your original document is preserved on disk.
- Private — pagination runs in the browser; no upload.
- Free and unlimited — no per-document fee.

Frequently asked questions
Can I start at a number other than 1?
Yes. Set the starting number to whatever you need — useful when the first physical page is a cover or table of contents.
Can I skip the cover page?
For now the tool numbers every page. As a workaround, Split the cover off, number the rest, then Merge the cover back in.
Will it overlap existing footer text?
It might — the page number is placed at a fixed position. Choose a different corner if your PDF already has content there.
